Audry XO - Cognac XO

Description

The Cognac XO from Maison Audry is the result of a careful blend of Petite and Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie aged between 18 and 20 years. To the eye, the cuvée seduces with its brilliant golden color. On the nose, notes of black pepper and vanilla mingle with floral and spicy touches. On the palate, the attack is silky, revealing a slightly bitter sweetness. Hints of black caramel and almond add astonishing depth, while mellow tannins lend harmony to the whole. Remarkably long on the palate. This Cognac was briefly aged in new barrels at the start of its ageing process, before being transferred to old barrels in damp cellars, where the roundness develops and the rancio notes are accentuated.
