More than just a Cognac, Maison Bertrand's cuvée Héritage N°2 is a living testimony to family history and know-how handed down from generation to generation. This Cognac comes from an exceptional batch set aside by Simone and Raymond Bertrand in the 1960s, after being distilled in small wood-fired stills. Aged in "roux" casks for over 50 years, this precious batch was kept intact until its first bottling in 2018. L'Héritage N°2 is the second bottling of this batch Rare, which has benefited from three additional years of aging. Produced in a limited quantity of 500, this eau-de-vie reveals all the nobility of the terroir and of distillation on lees, a method perfected by Raymond Bertrand. This singular Cognac is distinguished by the complexity of its aromas, dominated by rancio, the note so prized by the great Charentais Cognacs. Unfiltered and unadulterated, it offers pure, authentic Rares, reflecting the family's respect for their terroir and heritage.
