The Cognac Napoléon from Maison Bertrand is an exceptional Cognac blended from eaux-de-vie aged for 20 years, exclusively from the Bertrand family's Domaine, in Petite Fine Champagne. This terroir, rich in limestone and montmorillonite clay, brings incomparable structure and finesse to the Cognacs produced here. The ugni blanc grape variety, complemented by coLombard, is distilled in small quantities and aged in French oak barrels from the Limousin and Tronçais forests, giving this Cognac deep, complex aromas. On the nose, the eau-de-vie seduces with its roundness, carried by notes of fruit and sweet spices. Refined aromas of hazelnut, cocoa and nutmeg add a comforting warmth. On the palate, the balance is perfect, revealing a silky texture and great aromatic persistence. This Cognac is best enjoyed neat, to fully savor its rich aromas. Awarded a gold medal at the Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago in 2014 with a very honorable score of 93 points, this Cognac, produced in limited quantities on Domaine, testifies to the excellence of the Bertrand family's terroir and know-how.
